Filipino Mamon Recipe






  • 4 large eggs (separate white and york in separate container) 
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup cake flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/3 cup fresh milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
Direction:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. Line mold tins with baking paper
  3. Beat the egg whites until foamy and then add cream of tartar. Continue beating to medium speed until it forms soft peak. 
  4. Gradually add sugar and beat till stiff peaks form.  Set aside
  5. In another bowl,  add the oil, milk, yolk and the vanilla extract. Mix till frothy. 
  6. Sift cake flour, powdered sugar,  baking powder and salt to the yolk mixture. Add slowly while folding.
  7. When all the dry ingredient has been mixed up, beat together at medium speed for 3 minutes
  8. Add gently the meringue mixture until well combined
  9. Transfer into the molds
  10. Bake for 25 minutes till toothpick came out clean
  11. Transfer immediately to cooling rack with the baking paper
  12. Brush with melted butter on top sprinkle with granualated sugar and grated cheese
