Pinoy Ube Pandesal Recipe

Ingredients and Step by Step Instruction:
1 kg bread flour
80 gram Ube flavor powder
10 grams yeast
1 tsp violet food color
Mix this all together well
In the middle of the mixture
Add
100grams light brown sugar
15 grams salt iodised
2 1/2 cups warm water
Mix well till all dry ingredients is mixed
Add 100 grams butter
Mix again well till incorporated
Optional add 3 tbsp vanilla extract
Knead the mixture till all blended and smooth.
Optional rub with butter to avoid drying
Rest for 1 1/2 to rise
Knead again to release some air
Cut into 35grams pieces
Cut small blocks of cheese
Roll inside of the ball.
Roll the balls in bread crumbs
Yield 50 pcs
Rest for another 2 hours to rise
Preheat over at 180 degrees
Bake for 15 to 20 mins
