Filipino Beef Steak (Bistek) Recipe
Ingredients
500 grams beef sizzle steak
1 whole onion
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup lemon juice/calamansi juice
Pepper and salt
extra virgin Olive oil
Water
Direction:
1. Slice the beef sizzle into strips.
2. In a bowl, put the sliced beef, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt and pepper, marinate the beef. Keep in the fridge for 30mins
3. In a pan, on medium heat, add olive oil ( we use extra virgin oil for most of my cooking or frying)
4. Take out the beef from the marinate and cook on the oil for a few minutes
Keep the marinate for later
5. Stirring the beef around till tender
6. Add the marinate to the beef, let it simmer for few more minutes
7. Add water if needed.
8. Add onion
9. Simmer for a few more minutes till onion is translucent and soft
